Troubleshooting
Fixes for common problems: no reply, limits, background jobs, widgets, Termux, browser, MCP, Telegram and more.
Start with Settings → Developer → Health check (Doctor): it finds most setup problems and has a fix button for each. Copy report if you need to send it to support.
| Problem | What to try |

| "No enabled model" | Settings → AI models → Providers: enable CX AI or add a provider, then pick a model. |
| Reply never arrives / error | Check internet; CX retries once automatically on another model. Try CX Auto, or another provider. Check Request logs for the exact error. |
| Limit reached | Wait for the reset (time shown in IST), sign in to double the quota, switch to your own key or an offline model. |
| Chat is very slow or huge | Use Compress history or Continue in a new chat. |
| Offline model won't download | Turn off Download on Wi-Fi only or connect to Wi-Fi; free storage; pick a smaller model if RAM is low. |
| Monitors not checking | Check notifications and battery optimisation; auto-paused monitors need Resume; Error status shows the reason. |
| Scheduled jobs / Telegram bot stop at night | Whitelist CX from battery optimisation; on Xiaomi/OPPO/Vivo also allow Autostart. |
| Widget can't be added or doesn't update | Use long-press home → Widgets → CX Agent. On Xiaomi/Redmi/POCO allow Home screen shortcuts and Autostart. |
| Termux commands time out | Set allow-external-apps=true, force-stop and reopen Termux, re-run Verify; grant RUN_COMMAND. |
| Workspace terminal won't start | Install or Repair Linux (files stay safe); check free storage. |
| Browser task stuck | Use Take over or Cancel task; enter OTPs in the Action Required card. |
| Site logged me out | Clearing cookies signs you out; log in again with Open browser. |
| MCP server "Down" or no tools | Open it → test/reconnect; complete OAuth; check the URL and headers. |
| Orbit action fails | Cx Orbit → the orbit → Check login, or disconnect and connect again. |
| Notification trigger never fires | The standard build has no notification access (see Notification access). |
set_brightness doesn't work |
Disabled in this build (no Modify-system-settings permission). |
| App crashes on start | Safe Mode appears automatically; restart. Send a bug report (ask CX "generate a bug report"). |
| Restored backup but chats missing | Import from file overwrites app data and needs a restart; Turso syncs chats only, not attachments. |
