Scheduled jobs (cron)
One-time and recurring jobs, AI vs direct mode, cron examples, catch-up and history.
Scheduled jobs run at a time you choose. Like workflows, you manage them by asking CX in chat.
Every weekday at 9 am, send me the top 5 tech headlines.
Remind me tomorrow at 7 pm to call home.
Every 2 hours check my battery and warn me if it's under 20%.
Two modes#
- AI (llm) – at fire time the prompt is sent to an assistant, which decides what to do. Use it when reasoning is needed ("summarise", "if … then …").
- Direct – runs a fixed list of tool calls with no AI and no tokens. Free, fast, predictable ("post good morning every 8 am").
Timing#
- Once – a single date and time.
- Cron – 5-field cron or aliases:
@hourly,@daily,@every 30m,@every 2h. Examples:0 9 * * MON-FRI(weekdays 9 am),*/15 * * * *(every 15 min),0 0 1 * *(first of the month). - Timezone defaults to your phone's; optional start/end dates and max runs.
Missed runs#
If the phone was off or the app was killed: fire_once (default, run once to catch up), skip, or fire_all (up to 20).
Managing#
Ask to list, pause, resume, delete or run now (doesn't change the schedule), or show a job's history. Results arrive as notifications in the Scheduled jobs channel, and can be sent to Telegram.
Warning
Approving a job lets it run with full tool access whenever it fires, without asking again. Hardline-blocked commands still never run.
