Skills
Bundled skills, how CX picks them, enabling and disabling, installing from the library, GitHub, files or text, testing and admin skills.
A skill is a package of expert instructions (a SKILL.md file, sometimes with extra files) that CX loads when your request matches. Skills work on autopilot: CX picks the right one by itself. You can also force one with /skill-name.
Open Skills from Add to task → Skills → Add skill, or Cx Orbit → Tools → Workspaces and skills → Skills.

Managing skills#
- The Installed list has a switch per skill and a search box. "Switch a skill off here to stop it, or tap one to see everything it can do."
- Skill detail: description, files (add New File, delete files), Edit content, and Test – type a prompt and run the skill (times out after 2 minutes in the test view while continuing in the background).
- The name in a skill's frontmatter can't be changed after creation.
Installing skills#
Install skills → Library (search the catalog and tap Install; new skills turn on automatically), or:
- Create skill / Paste a SKILL.md – name and description are read from the frontmatter:

- Import from GitHub – a repo URL (supports
/tree/branchand subfolders); theSKILL.mdis downloaded. - Import from file – a
.md(max 1 MB) or a.zipwithSKILL.mdinside (max 20 MB / 200 files; unsafe paths are refused). - Ask CX: it can install from a URL or text (
skill_install_from_url/text, CX Agent, OpenClaw markdown and Hermes JSON formats) or propose a new skill card for you to approve. - JavaScript skills (
run_js) run anindex.htmlscript function on the phone with optional secrets.
Admin skills#
The CX team can publish skills remotely. They install as normal skills, are cached offline, and never overwrite a skill you made. New ones are announced under CX Updates.
