MCP (Model Context Protocol) lets CX use tools from external servers: docs search, GitHub, Notion, Stripe and many more. Open Settings → AI models → MCP servers.

A built-in catalog of 50 verified servers, grouped Docs, Dev, Data, Productivity, Business, Travel. Nothing is connected until you tap Connect.

  • No sign-in: DeepWiki, Context7, Microsoft Learn, Cloudflare Docs, AWS Knowledge, Hugging Face, GitMCP, Astro Docs, Svelte, Exa Search, CoinGecko, Kiwi.com Flights, Grep by Vercel, OpenAI Docs, MCP Docs, LangChain Docs, OpenZeppelin Contracts, Nuxt UI, Socket, Peek Experiences, Excalidraw.
  • API key (stored encrypted on this device only, with How to get a key): Jina AI, GitHub.
  • OAuth sign-in: Linear, Notion, Sentry, Atlassian (Jira & Confluence), Asana, Neon, Supabase, Vercel, Netlify, Webflow, Stripe, Square, PayPal, Wix, Prisma Postgres, Globalping, Jam, PostHog, Apify, Cloudinary, Todoist, Miro, Mapbox, Pulumi, Mermaid Chart, Tavily, Cloudflare Radar.

Servers marked Down by the CX team show a badge. Docs opens each server's documentation. Servers "Managed by CX" come from the admin catalog.

A built-in MT Manager server is listed too; it stays off until you enter your own localhost/LAN URL.

Add your own#

Tap Add and fill Basic Settings:

Field Notes
Enable Turn the server on/off.
Name English letters and numbers only.
Transport Type SSE or Streamable HTTP.
Server URL e.g. https://example.com/mcp (http/https).
Custom Headers e.g. Authorization: Bearer token123 (sensitive values are redacted in logs).

Or Import MCP Server – paste standard JSON:

{ "mcpServers": { "myserver": { "url": "https://example.com/mcp" } } }

OAuth#

Servers that need sign-in show OAuth authorization required → OAuth authorize; complete it in the browser ("Authorizing, please complete it in the browser…").

Tools#

After adding, open the Tools tab: Enable all, Search tools, toggle each tool and mark Needs Approval per tool. (Tools can't be listed before the server is added.)

In chat#

Add to task → MCP servers picks which servers the current assistant uses ("Syncing MCP servers…"). The agent can also manage servers itself (mcp_add, mcp_list, mcp_test, mcp_set_tool_approval… all mutations ask first) and check health with mcp_server_status.
