Telegram bot
Run your CX assistant as a Telegram bot: token, allowed chats, default chat, proxy, commands and battery tips.
CX can run your assistant as a Telegram bot so you can chat with it from any device. Open the Telegram bot settings page (Cx Orbit → Tools → Telegram, or search settings for "Telegram").
Setup#
- Create a bot with @BotFather and copy the token.
- Paste it in Bot token (the bot must be stopped to edit).
- Allowed chat IDs – comma-separated. Empty = nobody. Find your id with @userinfobot.
- Default chat – where outbound messages go when no chat id is given (e.g. scheduled job alerts). Use your numeric Telegram user id.
- Tap Start. Status: Running / Starting… / Stopped. Once started, the bot also auto-starts on device boot.
Proxy#
Route the bot's own network calls through an HTTP or SOCKS5 proxy (host, port; username/password only for HTTP). The bot must be stopped to edit.
Battery#
Aggressive ROMs (Xiaomi, OPPO, OnePlus, Vivo) cut network for non-whitelisted apps when the screen is off. The page shows Battery optimization: whitelisted / not whitelisted - tap to fix. Without it the bot may only deliver during maintenance windows.
Commands#
Built-in: /start, /help, /new, /stop, /status, /model, /ratelimit. CX can add custom commands to the menu (telegram_set_commands); built-ins are always kept.
Agent tools#
telegram_send_message, telegram_send_photo, telegram_send_document, whitelist add/remove, set default chat, set assistant, status, enable/disable. Long replies are split into chunks under Telegram's 4096-character limit.
The bot runs as a foreground service (channel Telegram bot); token problems raise a high-priority Telegram bot errors notification.
