SSH to your servers
Run commands on remote machines, saved hosts, SFTP upload/download and host keys.
CX can connect to your own servers over SSH. Just ask:
SSH into 192.168.1.20 as pi and show disk usage
Save this server as "home" (I'll give the password in the secure card)
On home, restart nginx
Upload report.pdf to /var/www/files on home
Tools#
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
ssh_exec |
Connect and run one command; returns stdout, stderr and exit code. |
save_ssh_host, list_ssh_hosts, delete_ssh_host |
Save a host (host, port, user, password or private key) under a short name. Secrets are never shown back. |
ssh_exec_saved |
Run on a saved host by name. |
ssh_upload, ssh_download |
SFTP file transfer. |
ssh_forget_host_key |
Forget a stored host key after you confirm the server was reinstalled. |
Safety#
- SSH commands need approval; destructive or system-level commands get extra confirmation.
- Host keys are remembered (known hosts). If a key changes, CX refuses until you confirm.
- On Android 17+, connecting to LAN hosts needs the Local network permission.
For interactive SSH (password prompts, sudo), CX can use a Termux session.
