Settings: Appearance and customization
Color mode, animations, glass, haptics, sound, colour themes, dynamic colour, AMOLED, app icon, layout, cards and saved looks.
Appearance sheet#
Settings → Appearance opens a sheet:

| Color mode | Light, System or Dark. |
| Animations | Motion for sheets, transitions and the sky. Off automatically when Remove animations is on in phone settings. |
| Glass effect | Frosted see-through bars, cards and bubbles (Android 12+; older phones use solid surfaces). |
| Glass intensity | Percentage slider with live preview. |
| Haptics | Light tap when you send, a soft buzz when a reply is ready. |
| Response sound | Soft chime when a reply finishes, only while CX is open. Silent and Do Not Disturb are respected. |
Customization#
Settings → Customization:
- Colour themes – built-in themes (such as Clock, Mint Clock and CX White) and your own. Create Theme: name and primary, secondary, tertiary colours (HSL picker, preview), Edit, Delete, export/Import as JSON. Disabled while Dynamic Color is on.
- Fonts and pure black – Dynamic Color (from your wallpaper), AMOLED Dark Mode (pure black), theme.
- App icon – pick a launcher icon for light mode and one for dark mode: Default, Pearl, Orange, Mono, Blue, Mint, Neon. Apply; the launcher may take a few seconds to refresh.
- Layout, cards and looks:
- Reading comfort → Line spacing with preview.
- Composer → Suggestion pill (compact pill on an empty chat, or the full composer straight away).
- Rich cards in chat – switch each card type on/off.
- Looks – Save current look (theme, text size, line spacing, bubbles, pill and cards), My looks → Manage, Copy current look (share as text), Import look from clipboard.
- Reset layout and cards (theme, fonts and icon stay).
- Glass studio – test glass on Bars, Cards, Bubbles and Buttons with a live preview; Reset glass.
Chat font and size#
In Chat and display → Messages: Chat Font (Default, Serif, Monospace, Custom – import .ttf/.otf/.ttc), Chat Font Size, bubble opacity.
