Monitors: watch anything
Create monitors for pages or topics, conditions, frequency, alerts, statuses, auto-pause, quiet hours and the daily digest.
A monitor checks a topic or web page in the background, compares with the last result and tells you only when something important changes. Open Monitors from the drawer tiles.
Create a monitor (4 steps)#
Tap New monitor or Start from a template: Jobs, Price drop, News, Govt circulars, Website change, Exam results.
- What should it watch? / Kya watch karna hai? – describe the topic (e.g. "Acme Corp announcements and pricing changes") and optionally up to 5 page links, one per line. Without a link the agent searches the web for the topic.
- When should it tell you? / Kab batayein? – the condition:
- Any important change
- Keyword appears (e.g. result, in stock) or keyword gone
- Price below / above a value, or changes by %
- Advanced filters: alert only on these words; ignore changes containing words (e.g. advertisement, sponsored).
- How often? / Kitni baar check karein? – every 15 min, 30 min, 1 hour, 6 hours or daily at 9 AM (shows ≈ checks per day). Alert me: Only important or Every change. Auto-slow (save quota): if nothing changes for a few checks it slows down (up to 4x or once a day) and returns to normal speed when a change is found.
- Review – every row is tappable to jump back. Add a name and choose the model (Analyse with – same as chat, or pin a model). Tap Start monitor.
You can also create monitors in chat ("watch this page for the result") or from CX Browser (Monitor page).
Statuses#
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| New | Running its first check. |
| Checking | A check is in progress. |
| OK / Sab theek | Nothing important changed. |
| Changed | Something changed; see the timeline. |
| Error | The last check failed (friendly reason shown, e.g. "Internet nahi mila", "Site bahut slow hai (timeout)", "Page nahi mila (404)"). |
| Paused | You paused it. |
| Auto-paused / Auto-ruka | Paused automatically after repeated failures. Tap Resume. |
Failures and auto-pause#
- Temporary failures (no internet, timeout, site down, rate limit) get a quick retry after about 2 and 4 minutes.
- After 3 failures in a row you get one "checks are failing" alert.
- After 8 failures the monitor auto-pauses and sends one notification, so a dead monitor stops wasting battery and AI quota.
- Monitor jobs only run with a network connection and use exponential back-off. Resuming clears the auto-pause.
Detail page#
Status chip, a sparkline of recent checks, last/next check times, "n checks · n changes", "n AI calls saved", last error, Check now (shows a spinner then "Ho gaya"), Edit, Pause/Resume, alert mode, smart alert rules, auto-slow, Open linked chat, Recent checks and the Timeline of findings (Important, Changed, Failing, Started, Minor, AI summary, Before vs now diff, reasons an alert was held back).
Quiet hours and digest#
On the Monitors page:
- Quiet hours (11 PM–7 AM, 10 PM–6 AM, 12 AM–8 AM or custom): no alerts; changes still appear in the timeline.
- Daily digest: low-priority changes and quiet-hours alerts are combined into one notification at the time you choose.
- Check all runs every monitor now. Identical findings are not alerted twice within 24 hours.
Notifications#
Two channels: Monitors (updates, digest, health alerts) and Monitors · important (price crossed, keyword appeared, big updates; high importance). Alerts are grouped with a silent summary and show a diff snippet; tapping opens the monitor.
Monitors use your search and AI quota while they run. Pause or delete those you no longer need.
