Bring your own API key
Adding providers like OpenAI-compatible APIs, Gemini, Claude, Codex, Grok, GitHub Copilot, xAI and others.
Besides CX AI you can add any number of providers. Open Settings → AI models → Providers.
Add a provider#
Tap Add more (or Add provider). The sheet lists presets in order, plus Custom provider:
- Codex – sign in with OpenAI (OAuth). Uses the Codex Responses API; shows 5-hour and weekly limits.
- Grok – sign in with xAI (device code). Needs SuperGrok or X Premium+.
- GitHub Copilot – sign in with GitHub (device code). Needs an active Copilot plan.
- Gemini – Google provider with API key, or Vertex AI with a service account.
- xAI – API key.
- NaraRouter – OpenAI-compatible router.
- XKIRO – OpenAI and Anthropic compatible gateway with a live model catalog (also offers speech).
Custom provider lets you pick a type and fill fields yourself:

A built-in Claude Code provider (subscription OAuth sign-in) is also available. Codex, Grok, Copilot and Gemini OAuth support several accounts used in round-robin order, each with token status, Refresh, Re-auth and Delete.
The Gemini OAuth (Antigravity) sign-in shows its own warning: it uses a private Google endpoint and Google may suspend accounts that use it. Read the warning before enabling.
Models#
On a provider's page open Models:
- Load from API fetches the list; select models, optionally Test Models and Add Working.
- Add manually: model id, display name, type (Chat, Embedding, Image), input/output modality (text, image), abilities (Tool, Reasoning).
- Built-in tools (official Gemini API only): Search, URL Context, Image Generation.
- Provider override per model.
Test the connection#
Test Connection checks streaming, non-streaming and tool calling and tells you what failed ("Check the API key, the base URL and your connection, then test again").
Import and share#
Providers can be imported by Scan QR Code or Select from Gallery, and shared from the provider page. Keys are stored encrypted on the phone.
