Memory: what CX remembers
How CX saves facts about you, saving modes, categories, scope, pinned memories, activity, export and privacy.
Memory is how CX keeps small facts about you (your name, preferred language, the apps you build) so you don't repeat them. Say "remember that …" in any chat, or let CX suggest things.
Two screens#
- What CX remembers (drawer tile, Profile): a simple list grouped by category with search, Edit, Delete (with undo), Clear all and the master switch Let CX remember things.
- Memory settings (More memory settings): the full control page described below.
Memory settings#
| Setting | Options |
|---|---|
| Memory | On (used in every chat) or Paused (nothing saved or recalled). |
| Saving | Ask first – CX suggests, you tap Keep, Edit or Skip. Automatic – CX saves on its own; undo anything in Activity. Manual – CX only remembers what you add yourself. |
| What to remember | Switches for Preferences (language, style, tone), Projects (your apps), Coding (tools and languages), Instructions (rules you told CX to follow). |
| Unused memories | Remove memories not used for Never / 30 days / 90 days / 1 year. Pinned memories are always kept. |
| Privacy and data | What the AI sees (preview of memory sent with chats), Export backup (JSON), Export AI memory, Sync earlier memories. |
Filters: All, Pinned, Saved by AI. The Activity list shows what CX saved, used or skipped, with Undo.
Adding a memory#
Add memory: type what to remember, choose Type, Where it applies (Everywhere, This workspace or One chat) and Keep as important (pinned). Quick starts: "I prefer short, direct answers", "Reply in Hinglish", "I build Android apps with Kotlin".
In chat#
When CX notices a possible preference it may ask 🧠 Should I remember this? with Remember / Not now. Memory steps in a reply show as "Added to memory", "Updated memory", "Recalled memory".
You can also switch memory per chat from the Add to task sheet.
Hinglish tip: "yaad rakhna ki mujhe Hinglish mein reply chahiye" bolo, CX save kar lega.
